First Week...

It is hard to believe the first week is coming to a close. I think it is safe to say that everyone has had a great time. We have learned so much and made so many new friends. It will certainly be sad when we have to finally say good-by. But...the good news is that we still have 3 weeks to go !

I hope you have enjoyed following online as well.

I guess we have missed a few days on here...so hopefully I can recap.

We spent the day Sunday in nature...and when I say nature I mean SNOW! Yes...it snowed as we were hiking through the Beskydy Mountains. We were with a great group of guides who helped bring our Radegast adventure to and end. We had already visited the brewery, so Sunday was all about seeing the statue and making it up Radhost.

We also had a chance to visit the living museum at Valasske. This area is a replica of some of the traditional wooden houses of the mountain areas of the country.

Our time in Ostrava was great. All of us have hated leaving our families...but I know we will keep in touch.

Monday marked the start of a new adventure and a handoff at the border. We said farewell to the Czech Republic and hello to our friend Juraj and Everyone waiting for us in Slovakia. The local rotary clubs had quite a reception for us and a very fun meeting the first night. We are getting settled in with our new families and ready for the next leg of the trip. Our fist outing was to the Red Stone Castle (you should look it up and see where it is located and why it is called that). Here are a few photos from this trip and a preview of Bratislava.

A quick look at Bratislava...

I am sure we will have much more to chat about soon!

Joey
