Dobrou chuť!

Our most recent team meeting was Feb. 11 and 12 in Blacksburg.  It was another busy meeting, but a great weekend.  We were able to get lots accomplished to get ready for the upcoming trip, including a little shopping on Saturday afternoon.

Some of you reading may recall that the weekend of the 11th was actually a cold and snowy weekend.  We thought, what better way to spend a snowy evening than dinner inside a nice warm house.  So....we all decided to try our hand with some traditional Czech and Slovak recipes.  There were moments when we thought we may have to order pizza, but in the end, a great meal!  A special thanks to Leslie for documenting the evening and to Aaron for hosting us all at her home!

Training for all outbound GSE Teams and Ambassadorial Scholars from Zone 33 was January 6-7 in Greensboro, NC.  What a weekend!  This was our teams 2nd official gathering and was once again a whirlwind experience.  The training was a great program - we were able to spend time with the other District 7570 outbound team (traveling to Italy this summer) as well as some former participants from VA.  We left with tons of notes - having learned how to navigate a blockade, the importance of over the counter medication, and all about doing laundry on the trip.

The next gathering of the team is going to be in Blacksburg, VA in February - we are going to try our hand at cooking our first Czech food!
